With a new year, come new Netflix originals. In a world with a global pandemic, Netflix is introducing many more movies and television shows for a year of relaxation at home. Including series and sequels, Netflix is stepping up its game and uploading many anticipated films to keep us all entertained. Here’s what we’re looking forward to:
Cobra Kai: January 1st/ TV-14
A martial arts comedy-drama series based off of the original Karate Kid movies. This series stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Mary Mouser, Peyton List and so many others. The third season of the show came out right when the new year started and the high anticipation fueled its success. Ending on a cliffhanger and renewed for a final season, avid watchers were in awe of the film and it brought happiness to the first month of their new year.
Malcolm and Marie: February 5/ Rated-R/ B&W/ Drama
This new movie starring Zendaya and John David Washington is about a filmmaker and his girlfriend, who after returning home from a premier, decide to discuss their past relationships. With famous actors of color, this movie is sure to gain attention within the first month of release. Zendaya fans and other movie buffs will be looking forward to the movie by Netflix, set to release on February 5.
To All The Boys: Always And Forever: February 12/ TV-14/ Rom-com
The final movie of the trilogy, it has been highly anticipated among teens. Starring the famous Noah Centino and Lana Condor, this movie will pick up the pieces from the last, following characters Lara-Jean and Peter as they transition from high school to college.
