The 2025 Powder Puff game was a huge hit, bringing students from all grades – freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors – together for some fun and friendly football competition.

The juniors, led by two touchdowns each by Mia Lobb and Rebecca Johnson in the championship game, prevailed for the second consecutive year.

Mr. Emering, left, huddled with the juniors, who went on to repeat as BHS Powder Puff champions.

“It feels good to know that our class has won for the last two years,” Lobb said. “We have grown to become a better team.”

Before the games began, the school showed off all the spring sports teams. Players and coaches from baseball, softball, track, tennis, and lacrosse were introduced. The crowd cheered loudly, giving the athletes a moment to shine and feel proud of their hard work.

Then it was time for the 2025 Powder Puff games, which were postponed in the fall, to begin.

Each class played with a lot of heart. The freshmen gave it their all and showed a lot of spirit, while the sophomores came out strong and made some great plays. The seniors showed leadership and gave a good fight, hoping to go out on top in their last year.

The Class of 2026 played hard, worked well together, and made stunning plays on offense and defense. With all that determination, the juniors ended up beating the other classes and were crowned the winners of this year’s Powder Puff event.

Another important factor for the juniors was defense. Maryum Ahmed and Alexis Visioli were the standouts for several reasons.

“Maryum was very aggressive and could get the flags,” Lobb said. “Alexis was great at being aggressive, too, and also had an interception.”

Ms. Brennan usually coaches the juniors but could not attend so Mr. Emering stepped in and guided them.

Lobb said the game plan was simple: Know the plays and work hard.

Even though only one class could win, every game was exciting, and every student went all out.

It was a great afternoon full of school spirit, teamwork, and fun memories.
