There are many benefits of being aware of yourself and how you are feeling. Mindful breathing can help you get in touch with your body, thoughts, and emotions. Mindful breathing relaxes the body as well as the mind.

The innumerable benefits of mindful breathing include improving relationships between friends and family, helping you to focus on your studies, improving your mental well being, and assisting you in reaching your peak physical condition.

As teens, we often have trouble processing our emotions, which can lead to many problems. Thankfully, there are ways to help us solve these problems and express our emotions in a healthy way. This way is mindful breathing. Mindful breathing has countless emotional benefits that will help us in our day-to-day life by reducing anxiety and stress, helping us calm down, giving us a way to deal with negative thoughts, helping us control and redirect our emotions, reducing depression, decreasing emotional reactivity, and providing awareness of our emotions.

These factors are all extremely important when it comes to maintaining a good and stable mental health. As Erion Bruncaj stated “Culture of Caring is really beneficial to the whole student body and it really helps us control our emotions.”

The social atmosphere of the world today is very murky and difficult to navigate. As a result, certain tools are needed to help guide us through these clouded waters and aid in creating a successful social life. One of the simplest ways to do this takes less than five minutes each day. By practicing mindful breathing just once a day, we will eventually begin to see the benefits slowly arise.

While in conversation, we may find ourselves becoming more tolerant of others. In those same conversations, we may also become more accepting of their ideas, which will mold us into a better overall people. Just by practicing mindfulness a little each day, we can become more likable and improve ourselves.
